In productions of post-migrant theatre as well as concepts of integration and inclusion at school, referred to as “arenas”, the project examines “Method Mixing” in the context of contemporary migrant and post-migrant discourses. The project gathers said “Method Mixing” – interpreted as the conglomeration of different practices, strategies and methods, which is used in the respective “arenas” when dealing with migration – at theatres and schools over the course of three years via qualitative methods (multi-media supported ethnography and guided interviews). During the project, these methods shall be further developed in the context of newer theory perspectives such as sound studies and material feminism. The project continuously discusses its results in internationally and interdisciplinary filled Method Labs. The goal of the project is the development of an innovative research apparatus in order to explore transcultural educational practices as well as a for practical matters available toolbox.
